The innovative therapeutic- educational space, recently launched in the surgical department was designed for children ages 3-18 who are about to go through a medical procedure.
This space addresses the challenges that children face during hospitalization.
The way children prepare will greatly determine their attitude towards what is expected, and can reduce the probability of a negative or traumatic experience for them.
The therapeutic spaces offers a pleasant and welcoming environment where children can ask questions, and be active partners in the process. The preparation for the surgery will help the children to better evaluate and create a clearer sense of control over what is expected.
It is also an opportunity to connect positively to the hospital and get to know the staff.
